Growing up in New Orleans, Chef Ian Robertson was influenced by culinary masters and a world-renowned cuisine. Mentored by the personal chef to the Consulat General de France, a la Nouvelle-Orleans, a chef from the Southern French Countryside, he was introduced at an early age to the art of wildcrafting and gourmet food preparation.
At 22, Chef Ian was appointed head chef at an uptown New Orleans bistro. Fed by a small family farm that produced micro-cultivated exotic mushrooms, organic produce and artisan cheeses. The Bistro came to be known for it’s exceptional and cutting edge cuisine. Several years later, seeking to increase his understanding of the connection between health & holistic cooking after a personal health challenge, Chef Ian relocated to Northern California to attend a progressive culinary & nutrition institute.
Chef Ian Robertson has worked as a Caterer, Restaurant Chef, Personal Chef and Living Food Chef. He is the developer of several natural food products, including his new line of European style, fresh baked, gluten-free breads. Now living in the heart of beautiful Ojai, a town nestled in the mountains of Southern California and teeming with organic farms, the chef’s passion has culminated in his new company, Organic Ojai.
